Whether you hire MDI to design build a data center, or a colocation cage inside an existing data center, or to provide management services for your existing facilities, the process is the same. It is this five step, Define, Design, Model, Construct, and Commission process that will allow MDI to deliver a successful project to you.

With the preliminary design set, MDI will model the new data center space in Revit which allows us to create a virtual scale model of the data center. The completed 3D model provides the background to build in three important functions. First we are able to use the background to perform CFD modeling to simulate the real operation conditions of the data center. Simultaneously with CFD modeling and analysis, we are able to use our 3D model to detect any significant systems physical conflicts. The collision detection of Navisworks allows us to make minor adjustments at this phase as opposed to costly field changes. Once these two functions have been completed, the model provides us with a very detailed inventory of the materials required for the general construction portion of the work for budgeting and bidding.
