A facility can be designed well and built well and still fail on day one.

A data center can be designed well and built well and still fail on day one if its systems were never tested working together under operating conditions. MDI commissions mission-critical facilities by testing equipment individually and then as an integrated system, confirming that power, cooling, and controls perform as designed before the facility goes live. For existing facilities, MDI also provides retro-commissioning to catch issues that have crept in since the last verification.
